SERVICES Speech and Language services for students throughout the BOCES consortium are provided by certified personnel who work with a variety of students. These students exhibit communication delays which can affect their academic, emotional, or social development. The Speech and Language Department offers a comprehensive support service to students from pre-school to 21 years of age. The service is available to students upon the determination of the local Committee on Special Education. Types of services provided are: Speech-Language Evaluations Speech-Language Services - these areas include: Speech production (articulation, phonology, fluency, rate, rhythm, and voice). Language (receptive, expressive, semantics, syntax, and grammar). Speech-Language Pathology Staff Supervision- this includes supervision to satisfy "under the direction of" for Medicaid reimbursement. UPCOMING EVENTS: |
