Two guest speakers talking to HERO class

Representatives from Barrett Paving visited the Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Heavy Equipment and Repair Operations senior class on Thursday, March 7, to talk about their company and internship opportunities.

Austin Delosh, superintendent of the Litchfield Quarry, and Spencer Morgan, a 2022 graduate of the Herkimer BOCES Heavy Equipment program who now works at Barrett Paving, gave a presentation about the various positions within the company. Seniors in the program will be eligible to apply for internships in the spring.

During the visit, Morgan shared his experience of how he took advantage of the internship opportunity and then was offered a full-time position with the company upon graduation. 

With more than 800 employees, Barrett Paving creates paving and construction solutions for customers including cities, counties, the Department of Transportation and private owners.
