ADULT LITERACY INFORMATION

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION (ABE)

Located until June 30, 2024: 77 E. North St. in Ilion at the Remington Educational Complex.

Temporarily located from July 2024 through June 2025 due to capital project construction: 352 Gros Blvd. in Herkimer at William E. Busacker Complex.

Individual and small group help in the basic skill areas of: reading, grammar and math.

Classes are free, on-going and you can enroll at anytime during the year.

ADULT HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY CLASSES

For Students at least 18 years of age and out of school. Individual and small group instruction in grammar, math, reading, science, social studies and writing. Program is on-going and you may begin at anytime during the year. 

Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Evening and weekend hours can be arranged.

NEDP NATIONAL EXTERNAL DIPLOMA PROGRAM

This program is another way to earn a high school equivalency diploma. The program is designed for adults over 21 who have gained skills from: living, working, raising families, managing time and money; and for adults who want to take responsibility for their own learning.

You work at home and return to the center with completed tasks, then work individually with one of the teachers. Times are arranged on an individual basis.

ESL ENGLISH AS SECOND LANGUAGE
