Q. About when did you start working in your current position at Herkimer BOCES?

A. January 2024.

Q. What led you to your current position at Herkimer BOCES?

A. Previously. I worked at Walmart Distribution Center in Sharon Springs for five years. A family member notified me about job opportunities here at Herkimer BOCES, and I've been here ever since.

Q. What do you find rewarding about working in your current position?

A. I enjoy making a difference every day – whether it be helping my co-workers or teaching and administrative staff – accomplish their goals.

Q. What do you think makes Herkimer BOCES special?

A. Herkimer BOCES is special because it provides students a place to truly get great hands-on work experience before graduating high school and entering into the job market.

Q. Did you attend Herkimer BOCES in high school? If so, what program were you in and what year did you graduate?

A. I was enrolled in Business Information Systems and graduated in 2011.

Q. Did you attend any of the Herkimer BOCES component school districts in high school? If so, which one and what year did you graduate?

A. I graduated from Mohawk Central School District in 2011.

Q. How does it make you feel to now be working at Herkimer BOCES after previously going to school here?

A. It makes me feel nostalgic, seeing how much it has changed and improved since I was a student here.

Q. How did BOCES help you in your career?

A. BOCES has helped me in many ways. One of the most important, I feel, is the organizational skills I learned, which have not only helped me in my career but in my personal life as well.

Q. What value do you believe Herkimer BOCES provides for students and/or the community?

A. I believe Herkimer BOCES provides students with the tools that they need to figure out what they really want to do after high school.
