Rural Schools Issues Forum

The Rural Schools Association of New York State is holding a Rural Schools Issues Forum sponsored by Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Herkimer College.

The event will take place in the Hummel Corporate and Professional Education Center at Herkimer College at 100 Reservoir Road in Herkimer.

The Rural Schools Association of New York State is holding these forums across the state. The local forum is sponsored by Herkimer BOCES, and the featured presenter will be Rural Schools Association Executive Director David Little.

Community members are invited to this public forum dedicated to the future of rural schools and communities. The event will open with a briefing on the current state of rural education, followed by an opportunity for attendees to share their perspectives on the local and regional challenges impacting rural schools and the communities that support them.

The public can also share thoughts in advance and read what others have shared through the Regional Schools Association's digital ThoughtExchange.

Public feedback will help guide the efficient and effective use of resources in support of rural students and education as the Rural Schools Association continues to work on behalf of rural communities.
