About when did you start working in your current position at Herkimer BOCES?
September 2025.

What led you to your current position at Herkimer BOCES?
I began my career 19 years ago as a school psychologist, serving in several diverse school districts. It wasn’t until I took on the role of CSE/CPSE chairperson, and had the privilege of working with an exceptional director of special education, that I discovered my passion for educational leadership. That experience inspired me to pursue school administration, leading me to serve as director of special programs in one of our component districts before joining the Herkimer BOCES team.

What do you find rewarding about working in your current position?
The most rewarding part of my current position is getting to work with the most dedicated staff who support our most neediest students in our region.

When did you first know you wanted to work in this field and what made you feel that way?
I’ve always been drawn to roles that allow me to help others, regardless of the situation or setting. School has always been a source of positive memories for me, and I strive to create those same meaningful experiences for others. In my current role, I’m grateful for the opportunity to make a broader impact by supporting students and staff in a more systematic and far-reaching way.

What value do you believe Herkimer BOCES provides for students and/or the community?
The value Herkimer BOCES brings to students and the community lies in the unique opportunities it provides, opportunities many would not otherwise have access to. From supporting our youngest learners in PreK to guiding students pursuing their associate degree through the VP-TECH program, and every stage in between. Herkimer BOCES truly makes a lasting impact across all levels of education.
