Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES has started accepting registrations for 2021-2022 prekindergarten programs located at several component school districts and a summer prekindergarten program at Herkimer BOCES.
The prekindergarten program provides opportunities for positive intellectual, social, emotional and physical development for children ages 3 and 4. Successful transition to kindergarten is the targeted outcome for all students.
Fall prekindergarten programs through Herkimer BOCES for the 2021-2022 school year are available at:
- Central Valley – Fisher Elementary
- Dolgeville Elementary
- Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary (age 4 only)
- Herkimer Elementary
- Owen D. Young School
- West Canada Valley Elementary (age 4 only)
The summer 2021 prekindergarten program at Herkimer BOCES will take place from July 8 to Aug. 13 and is for ages 3-5.
The prekindergarten program is free to families. Eligibility factors including income and family circumstances are considered for some programs. You must be a resident of the district in which you are seeking to enroll.
If you would like an application, please send a request for one and any questions to lhaggerty@herkimer-boces.org, and an application will be emailed to you.
In your request, please be sure to note how old your child is, what school district you reside in, and if you would like a summer and/or fall application, so the correct application can be sent to you.
If you would prefer a physical copy mailed home, please leave your name and address in the email, but please note that it may take several days for it to arrive in the mail.
If you do not have computer or Internet access, you can call 315-867-2098 and leave a message requesting an application, so one can be mailed home to you. Please be sure to speak clearly in your message.
