Adult LPN Program Student Spotlight:

Name: Jennifer Cechnicki

Class: Part-time evening (starting January 2022, graduating June 2023)

Where do you live: Fort Plain

Tell us about your family: I have three grown children that all finished their college careers with honors. They continue to make me proud every day.

Tell us about your past work experience: I spent 22 years working in the Arc community. I transitioned to Bassett Medical Center as a medical assistant four years ago.

Why do you want to be a nurse? I enjoy helping people. It is important to help people to have a pleasant experience going to the doctor’s office. I would like to be a part of that.

Why did you pick this program? This program was able to make it possible for me to still be able to work 40 hours and complete school.

What do you find most challenging? The driving seems to be the most challenging part. It’s two hours of driving per day.

What do you find most rewarding? Being a part of a caring group of people working towards the same goal.

What do you want to do after nursing school? I would like to continue to work in the clinical setting I currently work in.
