Name: Amanda Farquhar  

Class: Part-time evening (graduating June 2022)  

Where do you live: Dolgeville  

Tell us about your family: I am married with three grown children and two great sons-in-law and a grandchild.  

Tell us about your past work experience: 20-plus years of working in the healthcare field.  

Why do you want to be a nurse? I have wanted to be a nurse for many years, as it is very important to me that people are cared for.  

Why did you pick this program? This program was versatile enough to make this an option for me.  

What do you find most challenging? “Med Surge” has been hardest but a good challenge.  

What do you find most rewarding? Working in clinicals with the wonderful patients and making some great friends that are working just as hard to be nurses.  

What do you want to do after nursing school? I work in Prime Care at this time and eventually would like to get into a drug rehab setting.
